Empowered Communities : Our Aspiration
Lakasa Nepal is a non-governmental organization established in 2010 (2067 BS).
It works to bring positive change among the marginalized indigenous ethnic groups uplifting their life though educational, social, economical, cultural empowerment process. LN has been working with various organizations including Lalitpur Metropolitan City in the sectors of awareness raising, capacity building and empowerment of women, children, youth, adults and senior citizens with participation of local communities in Lalitpur .
After the devastating earthquake in 2015, Lakasa Nepal implemented some relief programs and supported to rebuild temporary shelters in 7 earthquake affected districts with support of Rebuild Nepal and Mercy Relief Singapore including individual donors. With continued support of Mercy Relief, Singapore, LN built two earthquake resilient school buildings in Sindhupalchowk, the most earthquake affected district.
Since 2016 October, LN established its partnership with Outreach International, USA to start Participatiory Human Development Program (PHDP) in Nepal with the objectives of empowering people to resolve their poverty issues and improve their lives.

Lakasa Nepal began with a collective commitment to serve communities, preserve indigenous language and cultural heritage, and create a platform for social awareness and local participation.
Since its early days, the organization has continued to expand its work through grassroots programs, cultural initiatives, partnerships, and public engagement that reflect its founding purpose.
Education
The education based programs aims to provide learning opportunities for children, women and adults on various need based topics, technologies through formal and informal means and enhance knowledge and skills applicable in their daily lives.
Livelihood Projects
The Livelihood projects aim to support for income generation opportunities for additional source of income through livelihood skills based trainings and capital for investments in the form of grants or loans for small scale enterprises.
Water, Health and Environment
The project under water, health and environment aims to provide easy access to safe drinking water, basic health services at local level and clean community environment.
